Welcome to the Ramble Block of the Month!
Hosted by Blue Ridge Quilt Co.
Thank you for signing up for the Ramble BOM! I’m so excited to have you join us for this year-long quilting journey. Designed by Tara Faughnan and built around Windham’s beautiful Artisan Shot Cottons, this medallion-style quilt offers a colorful, skill-building adventure with plenty of room for creativity and fun.
What to Expect
The BOM officially kicks off in January 2026 with an introductory month—no sewing yet, just video content to help you get organized. Each month from February 2026 through January 2027, you’ll receive a curated bundle of fabric and instructions for that month’s round. The finished quilt measures 85” x 88”.

Each round introduces a new technique—strip piecing, curved seams, no-tear foundation paper piecing, and more. It’s a great way to expand your skills whether you’re an advanced beginner or an experienced quilter.
Video Tutorials

Tara provides monthly video tutorials hosted on the Thinkific learning platform. These are exclusive to BOM participants and include helpful tips, tricks, and technique demos. You’ll receive access instructions when we get closer to the January launch.
Backing & Supplies
The kit includes fabric for the quilt top and binding (over 18 yards total), but backing is not included. You’ll need either:
-
2 ¾ yards of 108”-wide fabric, or
-
8 yards of standard-width fabric
Tara suggests Ruby & Bee 51583-14 Night Sky as a backing option.
A Few Notes
-
Fabric quantities are tight—cut carefully and save your scraps each month. Many pieces will be used again in future rounds.
-
If you’re nervous about cutting, feel free to purchase a little extra of any fabrics you love.
-
I’ll send monthly reminders and updates as we go along, and I’m always here if you have questions.
Again, welcome—I’m thrilled to sew along with you!
Warmly,
Megan
